"Monument Valley Sunset"

Most people are aware of the fact that the best time to photograph landscapes are early in the morning or late in the evening. The trick is to be at the exact spot, at the right time, with the perfect environmental conditions. So, here I am, along with traveling companions Terry Lacy and Don Nelson, racing up Highway 163 trying to find a place to set up before the sun gets too low. The low sunrays created the warm rich colors for the rock, grasses, and the stormy sky. One minute later, it was all gone.
