Cradled within the Glacial Gorge Basin, the Loch lures hikers along the 2.7 mile Vale Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park. Climbing to an elevation of 10,180 feet, the trail offers breathtaking scenery of Glacier Creek, North Longs Peak, Mills Lake-Black Lake and Lake Haiyaha. Numerous spurs with gorgeous views of the steep rock walls surrounding the lake lead to the water's edge where ideal picnic opportunities exist.
