“An Autumn Day at Triple Falls”
DuPont State Forest
Brevard, North Carolina
After a short moderate hike, Triple Falls come into view. It is easy to understand how Triple Falls got its name. It has a three-level drop totaling about 100 feet. The two upper falls drop about 25 feet each, while the lower falls descend about 45 feet. There are numerous flat rocks to walk on, making this area very popular with sun worshippers and waterfall enthusiasts. These falls were featured in the movie The Last of the Mohicans.
