The Creation of Tyndall Gorge, G5119
“The Creation of Tyndall Gorge”
Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado 2015
The Tyndall Creek cascades over rocks and debris and over the eons, the small, delicate waterfalls have descended to form Tyndall Gorge. Tyndall Glacier, located between Hallett Peak and Flattop Mountain, forms Tyndall Creek. Subsequently, this insignificant creek created four beautiful alpine lakes called Emerald, Dream, Nymph, and Bear. Amazingly, the small stream created the deep geologic feature of Tyndall Gorge.
