Campbell's Castle Gloom, H3542
Castle Campbell is a medieval castle ruins originally built in the mid 1400’s. Colin Campbell, 1st Earl of Argyll, acquired the castle around 1460. Castle Campbell sits on a beautiful hill above the town of Dollar, Clackmannanshire, in central Scotland. To get to the main gate, one needs to drive up a long and very narrow road to the small parking area. From there, you make a pleasant walk about 500 m down a steep and up to the castle.
