The Glow of Ponte Vecchio, G6294
The famous Ponte Vecchio Bridge is illuminated by the city lights in the predawn hours. The medieval structure is noted for the many fine shops that are found on both sides of the pedestrian street. Originally, the shops were occupied by butchers, tanners, and farmers. This was the only bridge in Florence to survive WW II.
