Hundreds of pictographs and petroglyphs can be found throughout the American Southwest, but the Procession Panel stands out as one of the most detailed forms of rock art. Found on a wall along an eighty-mile long Monocline called Comb Ridge, the panel depicts 179 human-like forms coming from three different directions and converging on a central circle. It’s thought to represent a ceremonial gathering or migration story. The panel also includes mountain sheep, elk and snakes.
