After hiking four miles from the trailhead and gaining about 2000 feet, I am rewarded with this view from the top of Missouri Pass. The view back down the trail encompasses the basin containing the Missouri Lakes and Savage Peak to the right. This spot provides a nice place to pause and regain your breath in the thin air.
