A Stop at Alberta Falls, F7101
One of my favorite hikes in Rocky Mountain Nation Park is up to The Loch or Mills Lake. Tumbling waters of Glacier Creek sits alongside the trail most of the way, providing stimulating sounds, even when the creek is obscured by the trees or rock. One of many spots to take a break is at Alberta Falls. <br />
Named after Alberta, wife of Abner Sprague. They were one of the original settlers in Moraine Park in 1874. Later, Abner became the first visitor to pay an entrance fee to the park in 1939.
