Escape to the Mountains

Fern Falls is found about 2 ½ miles from the Fern Lake trailhead. Fern Creek, descending from Fern Lake another mile up the trail, creates this 60-foot falls. Water tumbling over many rocks and logs produces a welcoming mist while you take a break and cool off. The crisscrossing lines of the logs lead your eyes on an interesting exploration of the scene.
