Amish Harvest, F7814
"Amish Harvest"<br />
Rural Carroll County, Indiana<br />
      <br />
     Images of yesteryear emerge from the early morning fog in rural Carroll County, Indiana. An Amish family prepared their corn harvest by shocking it in late November. This is one of the most well-known ways of taking in corn. Shocking prevents the corn ears from falling on the ground and absorbing moisture. The shocks of corn appear to be receding into the acreage near the creek.
