A Walk in the Woods

Hiking up Pearl Ravine along Trail 2 at Shades State Park, you come to Maidenhair Falls. A small stream delicately spills over a shelf with a dark recessed area behind the falls. The dark chamber of sandstone acts as a small amphitheater to direct sounds of falling water directly out to its audience.
